London Stock Exchange to launch nonstop trading next year

The London Stock Exchange plans to introduce a new platform called LSE 24 for extended trading hours starting next year. The venue will enable near-continuous trading of exchange-traded products initially.

The initiative seeks to compete with cryptocurrency platforms by offering greater flexibility to clients. It also aims to boost market liquidity amid growing interest from younger investors in round-the-clock digital asset trading.

Exchange-traded products will be the first assets available on the platform. Officials at the exchange have not specified an exact launch date beyond the 2027 timeframe.

This development reflects broader shifts in investor behavior toward nonstop market access options.
