Mel C expressed strong hopes for a Spice Girls reunion performance at Glastonbury Festival. She described it as the 'pinnacle' and said she is 'manifesting' the event. The comments came during a radio interview ahead of her new solo album release.
Mel C, known as Sporty Spice, shared her enthusiasm for a Spice Girls comeback in an interview with Nicki Chapman on Magic Radio. Promoting her upcoming solo album 'Sweat', set for release on May 1 via Virgin Music Group, she highlighted the group's enduring chemistry. “There’s something about the dynamic of the Spice Girls – when we’re in a room together it’s electric. It still happens to this day… there is something magical about those five personalities,” she said. She noted that Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage would be the ideal venue. “Glastonbury would be the pinnacle, it’s a bucket list. Spice Girls, Pyramid Stage – I like to think that will happen at some point. I’m very strongly manifesting that it will happen.”Mel C has performed at Glastonbury multiple times, including joining Blossoms in 2022 for 'Spice Up Your Life', a DJ set that year, a solo gig in 2023, and a surprise appearance with Orbital in 2024. Reunion rumors persist among the group—Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Geri Halliwell-Horner, and Emma Bunton—with mixed signals. Mel C recently stated all members “want to do something,” though nothing is planned for their 30th anniversary. The last full-group public performance was at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony, followed by a surprise 'Stop' at Beckham's 50th birthday party in 2024. While Mel C and others like Halliwell-Horner have expressed optimism, Mel B recently said a reunion is “not happening.” Past Glastonbury talks, including a 2024 hint from Mel B, were dismissed by Halliwell-Horner.
