Mpf archives case of alleged threat to alexandre de moraes in anime post

The federal public ministry has archived a preliminary investigation into an instagram post that allegedly threatened stf minister alexandre de moraes.

The case involved an anime-style image posted on instagram. It showed a person with the brazilian flag punching the face of a bald man in a suit, captioned “entrei na moda”. The federal police reported that the post could amount to incitement of hatred against stf ministers.

The mpf concluded that the image, taken alone and out of context, had no potential to generate threats or violence against public officials. The prosecutor in charge noted that the author seemed “crazy” and that the office has more important matters to handle.

The investigation was not requested by moraes. There is no evidence that the image reached any stf ministers or that any of them felt threatened or offended.
