The family-focused motion-sensing console Nex Playground is set to launch in the UK and Ireland after strong sales in the United States. Pre-orders opened on May 18 at major retailers while the full release is scheduled for late June.
Nex Playground is a palm-sized camera-based device designed for active play without online connectivity or mature content. It comes in bright pastel colors and uses motion sensing for all its games with a small remote included instead of traditional controllers. Prices begin at £269 for the console bundled with five starter games and require a subscription for full access priced at £90 annually or £45 quarterly.
