In a top-10 showdown, No. 6 SMU hosted No. 3 South Carolina at the Dallas Equestrian Center on Saturday, January 31, 2026, starting at 12 p.m. CT. The Mustangs dominated with a 12-7 win, extending their winning streak to four and continuing their sweep of Western MOPs for the 14th time this season.
SMU started strong in Fences, winning 3-2. All-American Augusta Iwasaki scored 82 to defeat Amira Kettaneh, Aedan Mooney posted 76 for a point, and senior Hannah Hoch rode Cora to an 82. South Carolina countered with Grace Rabb earning the MOP via an 85-82 win on Calino and Bella Primavera's 84-83 victory on Hardy.
On Flat, SMU claimed 4-1 dominance. Genevieve Johns scored 79, Caroline Signorino edged Natalie Jayne 78-77—her third win of the week—and Aedan Mooney beat Mary Hunter Millet 69-58. Iwasaki added a 74, while Sarah Rabb secured South Carolina's lone point with an 83-81 MOP, the event's highest score.
Horsemanship saw SMU go 3-1-1. Violet Shetler set a personal best of 79, Alexa Black scored 78.5, Ava Blyth tied Lillian Laney at 73, and Jayna Lagace posted an 80—tying the fifth-highest in NCEA history and her second MOP of the week. Carly Jenkins tied a career high with 77.5-74 over Shaelyn Boutelle for South Carolina.
In Reining, South Carolina edged 3-2, but SMU's Madison Rafacz remained undefeated at 6-0-1 with a 74, and Sara Beth Filiatreau matched it for the MOP. Emily Patton scored 72 on Jon Snow, Mattie McNeill 70.5 on Shiney, and Olivia Cardi 72 on Ruffin for the Gamecocks.
