NTI Gymnasiet Borlängessä sulkee ovensa eikä ota vastaan uusia opiskelijoita tänä syksynä koulutusohjelmien heikentyneen kiinnostuksen vuoksi.

Koulu tarjoaa nykyisille opiskelijoilleen paikkoja muista alueen kouluista. NTI:hen hakeneiden yhdeksäsluokkalaisten on muutettava lukiohakemuksiaan perjantaihin 8. toukokuuta mennessä.

NTI Gymnasiet kuuluu yksityiseen koulukonserniin. Erik Isaksson toimii konsernin rehtorina.

Paikallismedian raporttien mukaan päätös johtuu koulun koulutusohjelmia kohtaan vähentyneestä kiinnostuksesta.
