Prime minister Abiy says modern industry includes artificial intelligence

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) stated that modern industry encompasses not just chips and labor but also artificial intelligence. In remarks to IBC, he described Industry 4.0 as integrating chips, data and AI beyond traditional operations.

In Addis Ababa on Miyazya 6, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) delivered remarks guided by the 'heart of legitimacy' principle to IBC. He noted that Industry 4.0 integrates chips and data beyond conventional industrial practices.

"An industry integrated with chips and data is not a complete industry," the prime minister stated. He emphasized artificial intelligence as a key pillar of 4.0. AI now permeates every aspect of life, he said.

It enables countries to predict air transport disruptions and obtain information, according to his remarks. Even soldiers in the Middle East use it extensively. In many institutions, AI serves as a board member.

Ethiopia's Artificial Intelligence University has AI as a board member, he noted. Even without a voice, it provides opinions on issues and influences decisions. AI drives market assessment, speed and productivity gains.
