Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that Indonesia's economic growth in Q3-2025 reached 5.04 percent, supported by domestic demand, exports, investment, and government spending. He emphasized that this growth has been maintained at 5 percent since 2023 post-pandemic. The statement was made at the APBN KITA press conference on November 20, 2025.
At the APBN KITA November 2025 press conference in Jakarta on Thursday, November 20, 2025, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa outlined the factors supporting Indonesia's economic growth. The 5.04 percent growth in Q3-2025 was bolstered by domestic demand, strong export performance, resilient investment, and optimized government spending. This has enabled a faster national economic recovery following the 2020 pandemic contraction.
"Dimana dalam rentang 2023-2025, pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional bisa terjaga di level 5 persen," said Purbaya. From the expenditure side, household consumption was the main contributor with a 4.89 percent share in GDP. Investment, or Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB), grew 5.04 percent, reflecting business optimism.
Exports rose 9.91 percent, while imports grew more slowly, resulting in a positive net export impact. Government consumption also increased 5.49 percent, reversing from -0.33 percent in Q2-2025 and -1.37 percent in Q1-2025. "Maka sebenarnya sekarang kita sudah berhasil membalik arah belanja pemerintah, sehingga dampak belanja pemerintah dari APBN ke perekonomian juga menjadi positif. Kalau sebelum-sebelumnya ngerem, sekarang pemerintah juga ikut ngegas perekonomian," he stated.
Purbaya noted that the global economy remains fraught with uncertainties, including US-China dynamics, which must be monitored. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance, through Director General of Budget Luky Alfirman, is reviewing the 2026 ASN salary increase proposal, considering bureaucratic reforms, ASN performance, and fiscal capacity, with no final decision yet.
