Pittsburgh Steelers rookies Germie Bernard and Daylen Everette have drawn praise from beat writer Ray Fittipaldo during the team's offseason workouts.
Fittipaldo highlighted Bernard's professional demeanor during OTAs and minicamp. He said the second-round draft pick carries himself like a veteran and has a chance to contribute to the offense as a rookie.
Bernard was selected after the Steelers moved up in the draft. His skills after the catch and quick route-running are expected to earn trust from quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Everette, a third-round cornerback, received significant reps against the team's top receivers. Fittipaldo noted both strong and inconsistent moments but said the experience should help his development.
