Tarcísio publishes package of agreements on eve of electoral ban

Governor Tarcísio de Freitas published more than 120 agreements with municipalities on Friday (3), the final day before electoral restrictions. An extra edition of the Official Gazette is expected to include further deals tonight.

Legislation prohibits new resource transfers in the three months preceding the electoral race. The deadline for new commitments ended on Friday.

The São Paulo government stated that the publication is part of the normal flow of analysis and formalization of partnerships with municipalities. According to the Secretariat of Government and Institutional Relations, it involves the conclusion of processes already underway.

Tarcísio de Freitas also attended a graduation ceremony in São Paulo’s East Zone alongside Mayor Ricardo Nunes. The event at CEU Aricanduva marked the end of his schedule before the restrictions.
