The performance featured dance, fashion, and surprise acts until after 4 a.m.
A star-studded crowd gathered late Saturday at the Paradise Club within The Times Square EDITION for Teyana Taylor's revival of The Dirty Rose, her third iteration of the burlesque concept. Guests like Sarah Paulson in a top hat, Naomi Watts in sequins, Baz Luhrmann, Irina Shayk, and Burberry's Daniel Lee surrendered their phones to pouches upon entry. The atmosphere buzzed with energy, tables stocked with Don Julio 1942 and Crown Royal Marquis whisky, and attendees in eclectic outfits from fur coats to cowboy hats milling about before the show began around 11:45 p.m. Niecy Nash, Taylor's co-star, took the stage in a red sequin romper and feather headdress, calling out to Gayle King: “Hello miss Gayle King! Are you ready for this.” Danielle Brooks introduced varied acts including 1920s flappers, aerial artists, and pink pussycats romping on the bar. Taylor performed as Grayla Greathouse, a fierce character on the run, blending ballet, tap, death drops, and her famous routine from Kanye West’s Fade music video, which electrified the room. Kaytranda provided the soundtrack, culminating at 1:30 a.m. with Taylor thanking the DJ in a custom Calvin Klein look. Staff in red boiler suits distributed Dirty Rose-etched hip flasks with lemon drop cocktails, chicken and fries from Raising Cane's, and slippers, extending the afterparty past 4 a.m. The event, inspired by Tupac Shakur’s The Rose That Grew From Concrete, combined dance, fashion, music, and storytelling in a stylized motel setting.
