This adaptation of Victor LaValle's novel Devil in Silver centers on Pepper, a middle-class moving man played by Dan Stevens from Downton Abbey. According to the synopsis, Pepper's misfortune and temper lead to his commitment at New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital, an institution for society's overlooked. There, he faces opposition from fellow patients, doctors with hidden agendas, and potentially the Devil himself. The cast features Judith Light from Who's the Boss?, CCH Pounder from NCIS: New Orleans, Aasi Mandvi from Evil, John Benjamin Hickey from The Big C, Stephen Root from Barry, Michael Aronov from The Americans, Marin Ireland from Dope Thief, Chinaza Uche from Silo, Hampton Fluker from Shades of Blue, b from YOU, Hayward Leach from Elsbeth, and Philip Ettinger from Happy Face.
