Von Doren debuts limited edition 1814 Nordic Made watch

Norwegian watchmaker Von Doren has released a 17-piece limited edition mechanical watch that commemorates Norway's 1814 constitution. The timepiece combines Norwegian assembly with a Finnish-made movement. Each example comes with unique historical artifacts.

The Von Doren 1814 Nordic Made features a 43mm steel case and a manually wound Caliber Von Doren / JM36 movement built by Jurmo Watches in Finland. The caliber operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour and includes rhodium plating along with a micro-engraved Eidsvoll oath on its components. Final assembly takes place in Eidsvoll, Norway, by fourth-generation watchmaker Fredrik Sindsen.
