Wembanyama unbothered after egg incident with Knicks fans

Victor Wembanyama said he was not bothered after an egg struck him on the head outside the Spurs team hotel following Game 4 of the NBA Finals in New York.

Videos showed Knicks fans throwing eggs at the Spurs star as the team returned to its hotel after the game. One egg hit Wembanyama, and staff quickly escorted him inside.

When asked about the incident on Friday, Wembanyama stated he did not think much of it. "I just saw that one video of the eggs. I didn't see any other one. It's OK. I don't dislike it. Obviously, it's not good at all. But it doesn't bother me," he said.

Wembanyama added that he did not see fans damaging the team bus but heard some noises. The New York Police Department reported 56 arrests after Wednesday night's game amid celebrations and clashes between fans. Game 5 is scheduled for Saturday night in San Antonio.
