Wyndham Clark captured his second U.S. Open championship with a final-round 73 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club. He finished at four under par for a one-shot victory over Sam Burns.
Clark entered the final round with a six-shot lead but struggled on the front nine, missing six greens. He saved par multiple times with strong short game play before steadying on the back nine.
A key moment came at the par-5 16th hole, where Clark hit a 25-foot putt for birdie. He followed with a bogey on the 17th but secured the win with a par on the 18th.
“This one was a lot of redemption,” Clark said after the round. His four-round total of 276 matched the lowest score in U.S. Open history at the course.
