Norwegian FM Havard Haug captured his first 3 0 Thursday title on June 25 with a score of 9.5 out of 11 in the second event of the day. GM Dmitry Andreikin won the opening tournament by defeating GM Magnus Carlsen, while GM Jose Martinez took the final event for his 15th title overall.
Haug, aged 15, overcame a third-round loss to GM Jan-Krzysztof Duda and won his next five games to finish clear first. The teenager edged out 16-year-old GM Sina Movahed by half a point after Movahed defeated GM Parham Maghsoodloo in the final round.
In the first tournament Andreikin started with five wins and later defeated Carlsen in the final round to reach 9.5 points. Nakamura finished undefeated but took third on tiebreaks after four draws.
Martinez won his first seven games in the third event before losses to GM Alexey Sarana and GM Fabiano Caruana. He recovered to win the last round on tiebreaks and claim sole first place with nine points.
