ABC canceled Quantico after three seasons over low ratings

ABC ended its crime drama Quantico in May 2018 after three seasons. Declining viewership led to the decision just two weeks into the final season.

The series premiered in 2015 and starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas as FBI recruit Alex Parrish. It earned a 70 percent Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes for its plot and action but failed to retain audiences.

Viewership averaged just 2.3 million per episode at the time of cancellation, according to reports from the period. The network made the finale serve as the series conclusion.

Chopra Jonas later posted on X that playing the role challenged her and helped open doors for women of color in leading parts. She noted the story came full circle for the character.

Quantico remains available to stream on Hulu.
