In Addis Ababa on Miyazya 3, 2018 (EFM), Acting Prime Minister Temesgen sent Easter greetings to Jesus Christ.
In his message, he described Easter as the great day when death, weeping, the grave, and darkness were defeated. He explained that Christ conquered Adam's death and grave, the weeping of his friends, and the darkness of his enemies.
Temesgen noted that Ethiopians face political, economic, and social sins, with friends employing policy weeping and enemies imposing darkness. However, he said the lesson of Easter calls for national reform through dialogue, justice, and renewed programs to reform reforms, elevate the prepared, and defeat darkness.
Similarly, IFDR President Taye Atske Slasse sent greetings wishing a holiday of peace, health, and blessings.
He portrayed Easter night as initially dark but dawning with light, turning the nation's night into light for the awake.
