The first half proved challenging for the visitors, who were held at bay by a resilient Al Kholood defense. Sadio Mane thought he had opened the scoring late in the period, but the goal was disallowed for offside after Joao Felix strayed offside while receiving a pass from Coman.
The second half brought a turnaround. Just two minutes in, Ronaldo tapped in the opener following a neat sequence involving Mane, Angelo Gabriel, and Felix, who squared the ball from the left. Six minutes later, Simakan doubled the lead with a powerful header from Felix's near-post corner.
Felix continued to impress, hitting the crossbar early in the half and later forcing a save with an audacious rabona finish. Al Kholood's situation worsened in the 72nd minute when captain Hattan Bahebri was sent off for elbowing Simakan off the ball.
With the game effectively decided, Coman sealed the win 15 minutes from time, converting a penalty after being fouled by Ramzi Solan inside the area.
