President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi attended the graduation of the third training course for Ministry of Endowments imams, known as the Imam Hassan al-Attar Class, at the Egyptian Military Academy in the New Administrative Capital.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Defence Minister Ashraf Zaher, Endowments Minister Osama al-Azhari and other senior officials also attended the ceremony, according to a presidential statement.

The president inaugurated the academy’s new Safwa Hall and received a briefing on its facilities ahead of the event, which included trainee presentations, documentary films, the announcement of graduation results and an oath-taking ceremony.

Endowments Minister Osama al-Azhari said the programme aims to prepare a new generation of imams with strong academic, physical and national qualifications to promote moderate religious discourse.

Al-Sisi honoured the top ten graduates and directed authorities to explore postgraduate study opportunities for them, including potential overseas scholarships.
