Amazon worker sentenced for killing colleague over flashlight

A Minnesota Amazon employee has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder without intent in the 2024 shooting death of a co-worker during a dispute over a missing flashlight attachment.

Mohamed A. Hared, 26, received a sentence of just over 10 and a half years in prison for the death of Ahmed Ibrahim Cariif. He was credited with 700 days already served, according to a press release on the case.
