Bode has released its high summer 2026 collection themed around the upcoming American Semiquincentennial. Designer Emily Adams Bode Aujla drew from antique costumes and personal family traditions to create the capsule line. The collection launched on June 26.
The designs include a lucky penny T-shirt, scarlet red tap shorts, a Lincoln lantern tee, and matching centennial dresses and blouses. Emily Adams Bode Aujla said she often references antique costumes from theatrical productions and parades of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
She explained that many pieces in her archive were handmade and survived because they were worn only a few times. The new items aim to evoke that craftsmanship while offering modern silhouettes suitable for holidays or everyday wear.
Other pieces feature a 1776 graphic tee, pajama pants inspired by 1930s star-patterned bunting, and a Lincoln’s Birthplace tee based on a 1970s souvenir shirt. Additional items include satin gym shorts and track pants referencing mid-century designs.
