WWE Hall of Famer Booker T expressed support for Maya World following her TBS Championship win at the AEW Redemption event. The victory came in an upset against Hikaru Shida.
Booker T highlighted the achievement during the latest edition of his "Hall of Fame" podcast. "Big time! Big time to Maya World! Yeah, I did hear about that," he said, referencing the win.
World captured the TBS Championship with a bridging suplex in a surprise outcome at Redemption. She had earned the title shot by intervening in an attack on Queen Aminata during an episode of AEW Collision.
World signed with AEW in December 2025 after competing in tag team matches. She previously worked with Booker's Reality of Wrestling promotion, where she and Jada Stone became the inaugural ROW Women's Tag Team Champions.
Following the title win, World defended the TBS Championship against Persephone on AEW Dynamite, receiving assistance from Kris Statlander.
