Breguet revives Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7037 watch

Breguet has introduced a revived version of its Tradition Seconde Rétrograde reference 7037, a 38mm white gold watch originally launched in 2006. The new model features a blue movement and white enamel dial, priced at CHF 45,200 excluding VAT. The brand also unveiled five other new Tradition references.

Breguet announced six new watches in its Tradition collection, marking the first updates under new leadership following the brand's 250th anniversary last year. The highlight is the Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7037BB/YB/5V6, faithful to its original 38mm diameter and 46.1mm lug-to-lug with a self-winding caliber 505 SR. This movement includes 245 components, a silicon balance spring, blue ALD coating on bridges, and a 50-hour power reserve. A platinum oscillating weight and visible snailed barrel cover add depth through the front crystal, showcasing the historic pare-chute shock absorber from 1790. Breguet pairs the white gold case with a white Grand Feu enamel subdial at 12 o'clock featuring blue Arabic numerals and a retrograde seconds hand at 11 o'clock in 18K white gold. The blue rhodium-plated movement contrasts sharply with the case and blued steel hands. The watch comes on a blue rubber strap with quick-release pins and a white gold pin buckle, enhancing versatility. A platinum version, reference 3037PT/N9/5V6, offers a black movement and dial for CHF 49,700 excluding VAT. Other debuts include a 40mm platinum GMT 7067PT/NM/5W6 at CHF 62,800, a diamond-set 37mm 7038BB/N9/V6D0 for CHF 50,600, and a 40mm rose gold 7097BR/GB/3WU at CHF 43,200. These updates revive the Tradition line that began in 2005 under Nicolas G. Hayek.
