Cartier awards grants to 30 women entrepreneurs in Bangkok

Cartier marked the 20th anniversary of its Women’s Initiative by honoring 30 female impact entrepreneurs with $1.9 million in grants at a ceremony in Bangkok.

The event took place on Wednesday night at Chulalongkorn University, drawing around 700 guests. Amal Clooney presented the top awards during the ceremony, which recognized businesses focused on social or environmental impact.

Since its launch in 2006, the initiative has distributed a total of $16 million to 360 entrepreneurs from 67 countries. Cyrille Vigneron, Cartier chair of culture and philanthropy, noted the importance of corporate support amid shifting government resources.

The next edition of the program is scheduled for Amsterdam in 2027. Cartier chief marketing officer Arnaud Carrez emphasized the brand’s commitment to continuity in its philanthropic efforts.
