CBS announced the renewal of Beyond the Gates, TV's newest daytime soap, for two additional seasons. The decision, first learned by TVLine, will keep the show airing through 2028 in the fictional town of Fairmont Crest. The series centers on the Dupree family and their extended relations, blending politics, psychology, and drama. Tamara Tunie stars as Anita Dupree, a legendary songstress, opposite Clifton Davis as her senator husband Vernon. Their daughters include Daphnée Duplaix as psychologist Nicole and Karla Mosley as the more unpredictable Dani. The next generation features Brandon Claybon as congressman Martin, Colby Muhammad as designer Kat, Arielle Prepetit as lawyer Naomi, and RhonniRose Mantilla as model Chelsea. Supporting roles include Mike Manning as Martin's reporter husband Smitty and Jibre Hordges as Naomi's cop husband Jacob. Other notable characters are Timon Kyle Durrett as Dani's ex-husband Bill, Marquita Goings as Bill's wife Hayley, and Jon Lindstrom as local criminal Joey.
