This ends years of indecision involving Germany, France and Spain. The companies Airbus and Dassault could not reach an agreement. Military requirements also did not match, according to government sources. The Greens criticized the decision as a political failure. Representatives from the Union and SPD, however, called the end of the project overdue and correct.
