Chase Yi has been cast in a lead role for the upcoming Paranormal Activity film. The project is backed by Blumhouse Atomic Monster and Paramount Pictures.
Deadline reported exclusively that Yi, known for his work on Mythic Quest, will headline the new installment. Ian Tuason is set to direct the film.
The movie is scheduled for release on May 21, 2027. It will be financed and produced jointly by Paramount and Blumhouse Atomic Monster, with Paramount managing worldwide distribution.
Oren Peli will produce through Solana Films. James Wan and Jason Blum are producing for Blumhouse Atomic Monster. Additional executive producers include Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Steven Schneider, Dan Slater, and Cody Calahan.
The original Paranormal Activity film from 2009 grossed nearly $194 million worldwide. The franchise has since expanded to seven installments that have earned more than $900 million globally.
