Clicks highlights Communicator phone's niche appeal at CES 2026

At CES 2026, Clicks demonstrated its recently announced Communicator—a compact 4-inch Android phone with physical keyboard—and Power Keyboard accessory, emphasizing their roles for professionals and digital minimalists needing secondary devices. Co-founder Jeff Gadway outlined use cases from corporate mandates to multi-device ecosystems.

Building on last week's announcement, Clicks showcased the Communicator and Power Keyboard at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, targeting niche users like those requiring separate work phones, small business owners, European professionals under dual-device rules, travelers with dual SIMs, and digital well-being advocates.

The $79 Power Keyboard magnetically attaches to Qi2 devices via Bluetooth, featuring a slider (echoing Palm Pre/BlackBerry designs), number row, and configurable battery for phone charging or extended keyboard use.

The Communicator, pre-orderable at $399 for a late 2026 launch, runs customized Android with Niagara launcher for messaging. Its touch-sensitive keyboard supports swiping navigation, prioritizing communication over entertainment, though as a full Android device it handles any apps. Gadway, ex-BlackBerry marketer, positioned it as a complement in multi-device setups—like an Oura Ring to a smartwatch—without needing mass-market scale. No live prototype was shown, but it appeals to keyboard fans.
