Dallas Stars to host 2027 NHL Stadium Series at AT&T Stadium

The NHL announced that the Dallas Stars will host the 2027 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at AT&T Stadium on February 20, 2027. The game, starting at 7 p.m. CT and broadcast on ABC, marks the second outdoor NHL event for the Stars and the first at the Dallas Cowboys' home venue. The opponent will be named later.

The National Hockey League revealed on November 3, 2025, that the Dallas Stars will serve as the home team for the 2027 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This outdoor regular-season game is scheduled for Saturday, February 20, 2027, with puck drop at 7 p.m. CT and national broadcast on ABC. The Stars' opponent remains to be determined.

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman highlighted the significance of the event, stating, "The National Hockey League is thrilled to bring the spectacle of an NHL Stadium Series game to Arlington and one of the world's most spectacular sports settings, AT&T Stadium." He noted that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has advocated for an outdoor game at the venue since its 2009 opening. The announcement occurred before a Cowboys game against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football, with Bettman, Jones, and Stars forwards Tyler Seguin, Wyatt Johnston, Jamie Benn, and Jason Robertson in attendance.

Jones expressed enthusiasm, saying, "Hosting the NHL Stadium Series with the Dallas Stars is another great example of the vision we've always had for what AT&T Stadium could be beyond football." Stars owner Tom Gaglardi added, "Our organization is thrilled to have the opportunity to host the 2027 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at AT&T Stadium." He referenced the team's previous outdoor success, defeating the Nashville Predators 4-2 before 85,630 fans at the Cotton Bowl in the 2020 NHL Winter Classic—the third-largest crowd in NHL outdoor game history.

The Stars have reached the Stanley Cup Playoffs in six of the past seven seasons, including the 2020 Final. AT&T Stadium, which averages 93,061 fans for Cowboys games this season, has hosted major events like Super Bowl XLV and will feature nine FIFA World Cup matches in 2026. Ticketing details will be announced later.
