Anisa Muyassaroh died from heat stroke on 18 June 2026 at Satdik Dodikjur Rindam VI/Mulawarman in Balikpapan. Yonanda Muhammad Taufiq died from cardiac arrest after his condition declined in mid-June at Satdik Puslatpur Kodiklatad Baturaja.

Head of the Defense Information Bureau Brigadier General Rico Ricardo Sirait stated both participants had undergone health examinations before joining the program. The Ministry and TNI provided assistance to the families and ensured procedures were followed.

The Defense Ministry is now conducting a comprehensive evaluation of health selection mechanisms, medical supervision, and reporting systems. The review aims to improve participant safety in the future.
