Díaz-Canel reaffirms Cuba's commitment to human rights with UN expert

Díaz-Canel reaffirmed Cuba's commitment to human rights promotion and cooperation with the United Nations. He detailed the effects of the United States blockade lasting more than 60 years and described the country's choice to resist and advance through its own efforts.

Katrougalos thanked the authorities for their support and noted growing international awareness of the policies' impacts. During his stay, the expert delivered a lecture at the University of Havana and toured the Latin American School of Medicine along with the Quisicuaba Assisted Living Center.
