Egypt prioritises maximising state assets and expanding private sector partnerships

Salah Gamblat, Minister of State for Military Production, said the state under President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi places great importance on maximising the value of its assets and industrial capabilities, localising industry, and strengthening partnerships with the private sector. His remarks came during a meeting with assistant chairpersons of the boards of directors of companies affiliated with the Ministry of Military Production.

Gamblat emphasised that companies must modernise their operating systems, pursue new investment opportunities, and increase their contribution to the national economy. He noted that the assistant chairpersons represent a carefully selected group of highly qualified professionals expected to lead development efforts.

The minister called for adopting key performance indicators to measure performance, establishing cost centres, optimising workforce allocation, and investing in human capital through training programmes. He also highlighted contributing to national projects, foremost among them the Hayah Karima initiative.
