The EGY AGRI exhibition in New Valley governorate serves as a national platform reflecting collaborative efforts to bolster the agricultural and development sectors. On Thursday, Ministers Manal Awad and Alaa El-Din Farouk, accompanied by Governor Mohamed Al-Zamlot, toured the pavilions featuring 110 exhibitors from sectors including agricultural production, manufacturing, renewable energy, handicrafts, and products from the 'Ayadi Misr' platform across various governorates.
The ministers described the exhibition as a vital platform for promoting the national agenda for agricultural development. They highlighted that the wide variety of exhibits—particularly in smart irrigation, renewable energy, and the development of date and aromatic plant varieties—demonstrates the state's commitment to adopting modern technologies to support farmers and investors.
The ministers and governor also attended the 'Land of Goodness' celebration, which included a screening of a documentary film about the agricultural exhibition and a musical operetta. During the event, ministers, governors, agricultural industry pioneers, and leading development projects were honored.
Additionally, they inspected a livestock production project south of Kharga city, implemented under a cooperation protocol between the governorate, West Nile Agricultural Investment Company, and the National Bank of Egypt. The project involves 2,140 head of Brazilian cattle and aims to enhance food security by providing red meat at affordable prices to citizens.
