In week 28 of Exatlón México, there was no elimination duel on Sunday, April 12, 2026, due to changes in the survival battles format. Instead, teams competed in the 'Batalla por el Auto', putting two brand-new cars at stake for the winners. Host Antonio Rosique announced that all contestants advance to week 29 without any farewells.
Week 28 of Exatlón México altered its usual schedule. Survival battles were split into two parts: phases one, two, and three took place on Wednesday and Thursday, with phases four and five set for next week. This change meant no elimination on April 12.
Host Antonio Rosique explained during the announcement: “Por lo tanto, este domingo no habrá eliminación (...) nadie se despide; este domingo, pase lo que pase, todos avanzaremos juntos a la semana 29”. He noted the duel would be replaced by the 'Batalla por el Auto', one of the season's biggest prizes, featuring two zero-kilometer cars for the winning team.
The first phase of the battle occurred on Friday, where Team Rojo gained the lead, though Team Azul stayed close. The show aired at 8:00 p.m. on Azteca UNO, TV Azteca's website and app, and Amazon Prime Video.
Both teams advance intact: Team Rojo with Humberto Noriega, 'Mono' Osuna, Mati Álvarez, Paulette Gallardo, Karol Rojas, and Jazmín Hernández; Team Azul with Evelyn Guijarro, Katia Gallegos, Valery Carranza, Alexis Vargas, and Adrián Leo. The most recent elimination was Koke Guerrero from Azul.
