Extreme weather has battered Nusa Tenggara Barat province since Tuesday, January 20, 2026, until early Thursday, January 22, 2026, triggering floods and strong winds across West Lombok, North Lombok, Central Lombok, West Sumbawa, and Mataram City. According to Pusdalops PB data from NTB's BPBD, high rainfall intensity has led to water pooling in various villages and settlements.

NTB BPBD Acting Head Sadimin noted that flooding in West Lombok Regency began at 01:00 Wita on Wednesday morning. “Flooding occurred due to high rainfall since 01:00 Wita on Wednesday morning, resulting in pooling in several areas of Labuapi and Sekotong sub-districts,” he said in Mataram on January 22, 2026.

In Perampuan Village, Labuapi Sub-district, 782 households (KK) were affected, with 782 houses inundated. Around 200 KK evacuated to Perampuan Mosque and the village office. NTB BPBD, along with related agencies, is conducting further assessments. A public kitchen has been opened at Perampuan Village Office for evacuees. Emergency aid includes food packages, mineral water, adult diapers, clothing, ready-to-eat meals, mattresses, blankets, instant noodles, and tents from West Lombok's Social Services. A aid post has also been set up on site.
