The 38th edition of the Bogotá International Book Fair (FILBO 2026) kicked off on April 21 at Corferias, building on previews of its business hub role. Featuring India as Guest Country of Honor under the theme “Escucharnos es leernos,” the event boasts over 2,300 activities, 570 exhibitors, and 500+ authors from 28 countries. Boyacá is the Guest Region of Honor.
Organized by Corferias and the Cámara Colombiana del Libro since 1988, FILBO 2026 continues as a premier Spanish-speaking cultural event. India's spotlight showcases its output in over 20 languages, from mythology to politics.
FILBO director Adriana Ángel emphasized exploring India's culture, while Tatiana Rudd of Corferias noted the theme fosters connections via reading. In Pabellón Colombia, Boyacá highlights its authors, launches, and diversity talks; Huila contributes 36 presentations and 60 authors.
