Hong Yookyung, formerly of Apink, announced on social media that her first child is a boy following a gender reveal on June 21.
On June 21, the former idol posted about the results of her recent gender reveal. “Dangdangie’s gender is… It’s a boy,” she wrote.
Hong Yookyung noted that relatives had expected a girl because most of the younger children in the family are already boys. She described the reveal as a surprise for everyone involved, with many showing a bewildered reaction upon seeing the blue color.
The update comes just weeks after she shared that she was 16 weeks pregnant. Hong Yookyung debuted with Apink in 2011 and left the group in 2013. She married a dermatologist in 2023 and is now preparing to welcome her first child.
