A 63-year-old man in Oxford, Georgia, has been arrested and charged with murdering his wife and adult daughter following a domestic dispute earlier this week.
Ralph Mincey faces two counts of murder and a weapons possession charge in the deaths of 57-year-old Jennifer Lynn Mincey and 37-year-old Amanda Mincey McBrayer.
The shootings occurred Wednesday night at a home on Gauntt Road. Deputies found the daughter dead at the scene while the wife was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she later died.
Walton County Sheriff Keith Brooks expressed sadness over the incident in a press release. Audio from 911 calls released Friday captured the sequence of events, including a call from the son-in-law describing the argument and shooting, and another from Mincey himself admitting to the acts.
Mincey told the dispatcher he acted after an argument involving accusations about his care for his mother, stating he "lost it" amid the conflict.
