Sucker Punch Productions confirmed that Ghost of Yōtei will receive a free patch on November 24, expanding the game's post-launch support. The update includes New Game Plus, which unlocks after completing the main story, allowing players to replay Atsu's journey while carrying over all earned equipment, abilities, upgrades, armor sets, weapons, and skills. It also adds new difficulty options and two additional Trophies to challenge returning players.
New Features and Customization
A new currency called Ghost Flowers can be traded with a specialized vendor for over 30 cosmetic items, including armor sets, weapon dyes, and charms. Existing armor and weapons receive an extra upgrade tier for more playstyle customization. Post-game missions become replayable, supported by a new stats display for tracking progress.
Accessibility and Photo Mode Enhancements
The patch introduces accessibility options like directional button remapping. Photo Mode gains adjustable shutter speed, a composition grid, and additional filters to help players capture detailed shots and experiment with visual styles.
