The Golden State Warriors have signed guard Seth Curry for the rest of the 2025-26 season, reuniting him with his brother Stephen Curry. The 11-year NBA veteran, who led the league in 3-point percentage last season, spent training camp with the team before being waived in October. This marks the first time the Curry brothers will be NBA teammates.
The Golden State Warriors announced on Monday, December 1, 2025, that they have signed free agent guard Seth Curry to a contract for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. Curry, a 35-year-old sharpshooter, previously spent training camp with the Warriors before being waived on October 18. As an 11-year NBA veteran, he holds career averages of 10.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 22.5 minutes per game. Last season, Curry played 68 games with the Charlotte Hornets and led the NBA in 3-point percentage at 45.6%.
This signing brings Seth Curry together with his older brother, 11-time All-Star Stephen Curry, making them NBA teammates for the first time. The Curry brothers become the third pair of siblings on rosters together this season, following Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks and Franz and Moritz Wagner of the Orlando Magic. According to Elias Sports Bureau, they will be the 23rd different brother combination to play on the same team in the same season.
It is not the first time the Currys have been associated with the same franchise in a season. During the 2013-14 campaign, Seth played for Golden State's G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, averaging 19.7 points and 5.8 assists, while Stephen earned his first NBA All-Star nod with the parent club. Stephen Curry was previously teammates with brother-in-law Damion Lee for four seasons in Golden State.
Seth Curry reflected on his adaptability upon originally joining the Warriors: “I’m comfortable in that situation. I’ve always been able to adapt throughout my career. I kind of took pride on adapting to different situations and playing well pretty much wherever I’ve been no matter the circumstances. When I get on that floor you ask the coaches I’ve played for, the fans who watch me night in night out, my teammates, I’m pretty much able to produce everywhere I go.”
However, the brothers' on-court reunion is delayed, as Stephen Curry is sidelined with a left quadriceps contusion and muscle strain from a loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night. He is set to be reevaluated on Thursday.
