PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk has announced the nomination of Hans Patuwo as new CEO to replace Patrick Walujo, who is resigning. The appointment will be approved at an extraordinary shareholders' meeting on December 17, 2025. The change is part of a prepared succession to support growth toward sustainable profitability.
PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk announced a leadership change on November 24, 2025. Patrick Walujo, who has served as CEO since June 2023, is resigning after two and a half years. The nomination of Hans Patuwo as new CEO will be submitted for approval at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (EGM) on December 17, 2025.
This transition is part of a carefully prepared succession by the Board of Directors, aimed at ensuring stability, strategic continuity, and strengthened operational execution as GoTo enters a growth phase toward sustainable profitability. Chairman Agus Martowardojo stated, "Since his appointment in June 2023, Patrick has led GoTo through a transformation that strengthened the company's financial fundamentals, sharpened operational focus, and provided clarity on the long-term direction."
Agus also congratulated Hans, noting his extensive experience in the GoTo ecosystem and commitment to driver and business partners. Patrick Walujo added, "His proven leadership capabilities and integrity make Hans the right person to lead GoTo into its next chapter."
Hans Patuwo, an Indonesian born in 1976, joined Gojek in 2018 as Chief Operating Officer, focusing on driver and transportation operations. He expanded Gojek to over 100 cities with more than 2 million drivers across Southeast Asia. Previously, Hans was a Partner at McKinsey (2008-2014) in Shanghai, Singapore, and Jakarta, and COO of Paper at PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper (2015-2017). Currently, he serves as COO and President of On-Demand Services, driving growth through data-based operational discipline. He also led GoTo Financial to become a leading fintech platform.
Additionally, Ade Mulyana is resigning as Director of Public Affairs and Communications to focus on family and other professional commitments. Commissioners Pablo Malay and Winato Kartono have submitted resignations, with Andre Soelistyo and Santoso Kartono nominated to replace them, strengthening corporate governance.
