The Federal Government presented the CNTE with the creation of a Public Insurer to manage ISSSTE pensions in coordination with PENSIONISSSTE. The proposal was explained in a meeting with Martí Batres, Rosa Icela Rodríguez and Mario Delgado. The CNTE stated there are no agreements and will continue analyzing its demands.
The Secretaría de Gobernación reported that Martí Batres detailed the consequences of the 2007 ISSSTE Law reform. He indicated that PENSIONISSSTE could improve pensions under the individual accounts regime. The new proposal includes creating a public insurer dedicated to monthly pension payments. CNTE leaders rejected previous proposals as ambiguous and demanded the law's abrogation. Yenny Aracely Pérez, from Section 22, noted there are no firm responses on dignified retirement. The CNTE will hold a national assembly to define next steps. The mobilizations include blockades on highways such as México-Cuernavaca and México-Puebla. Rosa Icela Rodríguez reiterated respect for dialogue and peaceful demonstrations.
