GRT Jewellers distributes scholarships to nearly 1,000 students

GRT Jewellers held an endowment scholarship ceremony on Saturday at its school in Tiruttani, expanding support to nearly 1,000 students with added mentorship and academic guidance.

GRT Jewellers conducted the ceremony at the GRT Mahalakshmi Vidyalaya in Tiruttani. The event marks the largest outreach in the programme's history, with nearly 1,000 students set to receive support.

One recipient, Darshini, a B.Com student aiming to become a chartered accountant, spoke about her decision to attend a lower-fee college despite strong Class XII scores. "We cannot depend on our parents for everything," she said.

Janarthanan T., Manager of CSR activities at GRT Jewellers, noted that the initiative now includes ongoing mentorship. "The cheque is only the first step. The goal is to ensure students have our support long after the ceremony ends," he said.
