Hermès chief Florian Craen explains success secret

Florian Craen, with Hermès since 1997, discusses the luxury group's growth and philosophy in Germany.

Florian Craen stressed in an interview published on June 28 that the object itself is at the center. The relationship to creation, quality and craftsmanship has remained unchanged even as the business has grown substantially.

The new store on Berlin's Kurfürstendamm now spans over 500 square meters. Hermès operates eight locations in Germany, including in Hamburg, Munich, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Stuttgart.

Craen views the investment as proof of the company's self-confidence. Berlin had not previously reached the required level.
