Infanta Sofía delivered her first public speech in Zaragoza during the award ceremony of the Docentes Referentes program by Fundación Ibercaja.
Infanta Sofía closed the event at the Monasterio de Cogullada. She highlighted the importance of teachers' work and pointed out issues such as school bullying, questioned salaries and lack of funding.
Doña Sofía was accompanied by her parents, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, and her sister, Princess Leonor. The event was also attended by Aragon President Jorge Azcón and Education Minister Milagros Tolón.
The young royal began the day visiting the facilities alongside Princess Leonor. Both spoke with the finalist teachers of the program held between July 7 and 8.
