Infinix Ethiopia has signed a memorandum of understanding with Addis Ababa Practical Arts Polytechnic College to establish an innovation center within the over-80-year-old institution. The partnership aims to provide practical training for students and update teachers on new technology trends.

The Addis Ababa Practical Arts Polytechnic College, with over 80 years of history, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Infinix Ethiopia, which has operated in the country for more than 14 years as a mobile phone manufacturer. This partnership will establish an innovation center within the college.

The agreement was signed by college dean Ato Tesfaye Adamasu and Transition Manufacturing Director Ato Guwo Yongley. Its primary goal is to offer practical training opportunities to students and enable teachers to access up-to-date technology training aligned with new industry developments.

Under this collaboration, an Infinix Club will operate at the college, creating practical industry experience, skill development, and innovation opportunities for students. Trainees will receive sessions focused on personal and professional growth, along with job prospects within Transition and Infinix.

College dean Ato Tesfaye Adamasu stated, “The agreement supports youth in education, innovation, and technology.” Transition Manufacturing added, “The partnership provides industry opportunities, guidance, and training that connect academic education with professional practice for students.”

This initiative bridges academic knowledge with modern technology industry practices, fostering growth in Ethiopia's technical and professional sectors. Infinix, a smartphone brand under Transsion Manufacturing PLC, focuses on empowering youth in creation and technology.
