The insolvency administrator of Aggregate plans to reverse the sale of a project in the Quartier Heidestraße. Judges are to examine whether the price was appropriate.
Cevdet Caner led several major projects in Berlin as CEO of the real estate group Aggregate starting in July 2022. He emphasized his motto “Bauen, bauen, bauen” at a press conference at the time and announced that he would create enormous value for society.
Four years later the company is insolvent. Luxembourg insolvency administrator Paul Rukavina has now taken charge and aims to secure as many assets as possible for creditors. He sees possible reasons for the situation in Caner’s tenure.
Rukavina seeks to have the sale in the Quartier Heidestraße annulled. Judges are to clarify whether the price was appropriate or creditors were harmed.
