Internacional secured a place in the 2026 Gauchão final by defeating Ypiranga 4-0 at Beira-Rio. The result adds to their 3-0 first-leg win, for a 7-0 aggregate score. The team now awaits the winner of Grêmio versus Juventude in the final.
Internacional showed dominance from the start of the match against Ypiranga, played on Saturday (21/2) at Estádio Beira-Rio. At the seventh minute, Borré opened the scoring after receiving a pass from Alan Patrick, entering the area, and finishing with a cheeky chip over the goalkeeper.
In the second half, Colorado extended their lead with another goal from Vitinho. Alan Patrick delivered a precise cross from midfield, and the forward headed it in behind the marking. At the 27th minute, Vitinho scored again: Bernabei recovered the ball in the center circle, fed the teammate, who advanced and struck low from the edge of the area, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.
The fourth goal came at the 35th minute, as Alerrandro capitalized on a defensive error by the opponents, dribbled the goalkeeper, and rolled into the empty net. With the 7-0 aggregate score, Internacional, the defending champions, advance to defend their Gauchão 2026 title. The final will be against the winner of Grêmio versus Juventude.
