Actor Jennifer English has stepped away from her voice role in the action game Tides of Annihilation to focus on her mental and physical health.
The award-winning performer announced the decision on Instagram, describing it as a difficult yet personally necessary choice as the project enters its next phase. She expressed gratitude for her time on the game since its inception and for working with the team at Eclipse Glow Games.
English said she introduced the developers to another talented actor for the role of Gwendolyn. Eclipse Glow Games stated it was saddened by the decision but respected her choice to prioritise wellbeing. The studio added that it has found a new performer whose recent video game work impressed both English and the team.
The new actor is currently recording lines for a hands-on demo set to appear at gamescom 2026 in August. Tides of Annihilation, announced in February 2025, blends modern London with Arthurian legend and is planned for release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
